Kelly’s St. Patrick’s Parade

Every March
30 years and counting, the Kelly’s St. Patrick’s Parade has grown to be the the largest St. Patrick’s Parade in North Carolina attracting over 8,000 attendees and over 100 entrants yearly. The one mile parade route takes place on the beach road in Nags Head, NC. 

The Lost Colony Wine & Culinary Festival

Every Spring 
Do you like to sip and savor the local cuisines of the Outer Banks? This festival encompasses the best of the best chefs from different local restaurants along with local wines and craft beers that compliment each specialty dish. All while being surrounded by gorgeous views of the Roanoke Sound and live music. 

Outer Banks Bike Week

Every Spring
This annual event attracts thousands of bikers and riders and is 4 days of motorcycles, music and fun! Bike week has something for everyone and attractions spread from Harbinger to Nags Head, NC. 

OBX Jeep Invasion

Every May 
Calling all Jeep lovers! This is the event for you as hundreds of Jeeps invade the OBX every Spring. The Invasion is full of lots of fun and adventure with raffles, live bands, vendors, and food trucks. This event takes place in Nags Head but jeep crawls for the event encompass all of the Outer Banks. 

VusicOBX Summer Concert Series

Every Summer
Great music with a view! This new concert series is in the summer months and brings different artist and genres to the Outer Banks each year at Roanoke Island Festival Park in downtown Manteo, NC. 

The Lost Colony Production

Every Summer 
This musical re-telling of America’s first English colony is worth checking out! It is a true OBX tradition. The theater is tucked along the shores of Roanoke Island in Manteo, NC and the live production of professional actors and designers that gather every summer to provide a great OBX family attraction. 

Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament

Every August 
This annual event is at the Pirate’s Cove Marina in Manteo, NC and one of the most popular fishing tournaments in the Outer Banks. A week of fishing and fun for all! What’s not to love? The Alice Kelly Ladies Fishing Tournament is also part of the festivities. 

OBX Seafood Festival

Every October 
Wanna eat like a local and drink like a fish? The Outer Banks Seafood Festival features the best seafood on the Outer Banks along with the chance to learn more about the local fishing industry and heritage, shop a full range of artisan vendors and enjoy live music. 

OBX Bluegrass Island Festival

Every October 
The OBX Bluegrass Island Festival takes place annually in Manteo, NC at Roanoke Island Festival Park. Bluegrass lovers from all over flock to this festival packed full of heavy hitting musicians, a band competition and more. 

OBX Brewtag

Every October 
Will Kegs Fly? This event is a celebration of flight and beer. The general premise is to see who can launch and fly an empty 1/6 keg barrel the farthest. Craft beers and food are offered along with games for all ages in Nags Head, NC. 

OBX Marathon

Every November 
The oldest continuously running road race in the Outer Banks! The course is flat and allows participants to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the OBX. The Outer Banks Marathon Weekend also features the Half Marathon and the Surf Pediatrics Surf & Soar 5K, 8K and Fun Run. Following the race, participants can enjoy live music, barbeque and beverages.

Kites with Lights

Every November  
A holiday light display you don’t see everyday. This event takes place atop Jockey’s Ridge State Park in Nags Head, NC and features kites decked out for the holiday season. 

Winter Lights at Elizabethan Gardens

Every November & December 
The ten acre Elizabethan Gardens of Manteo, NC in transformed into a winter wonderland full of Christmas glow, holiday décor and more. Stroll the enchanted paths while listening to the holiday tunes and cozy up by the fire with friends, family and your fur babies are welcome. Live entertainment is also offered on certain evenings. 

Town of Manteo Tree Lighting & Festivities

Every December 
Step into a Hallmark Christmas Movie for this small town tree lighting event. The charming town of Manteo shuts down the streets and packs them full of Christmas cheer with hot cocoa, bonfire, stew, holiday dance performances, Santa & Mrs. Claus storytelling, tree lighting, cookie decorating and photos with Santa.

Manteo New Years Eve Celebration

Every New Year's Eve 
Midnight Magic in Manteo is a New Year’s Eve Event for all ages. Celebrate family style with live music, kid's zone with great games and activities, giveaways and fireworks.
